Orthostatic dyspnea coupled with a fall in oxygen saturation that disappears in the recumbent position

  1. Dyspnea and/ or hypoxemia that arises in the upright position a
  2. Also present in the sitting position.
  3. These symptoms are usually attenuated or disappear within a few minutes by assuming a lying position
