Paradoxical splitting of the second heart sound
- Conditions with prolonged left ventricular ejection – delay A2 component of Second heart sound so that aortic component follows the pulmonary component
- P2 varies normally with respiration, the degree of splitting widens paradoxically on expiration and narrows on inspiration which is called as Paradoxical splitting of the second heart sound
- Left ventricular ejection is prolonged
- Patent ductus arteriosus
- Aortic stenosis
- Complete left bundle branch block
