  1. Dilated central pulmonary arteries
  2. Rapid tapering of the peripheral pulmonary vasculature

Associated features suggest

  • Pulmonary artery calcification – diagnostic of longstanding pulmonary hypertension.
  • Eisenmenger syndrome secondary to VSD or PDA usually has a normal or only slightly increased cardiothoracic ratio.
  • Eisenmenger syndrome secondary to an ASD typically has a large cardiothoracic ratio
