Membranous part of Interventricular septum is divided into two portions based on the implantation of
[A] Anterior leaflet of the tricuspid valve
[B] Septal leaflet of the tricuspid valve
[C] Posterior leaflet of the Mitral valve
[D] Anterior leaflet of the aortic valve
Membranous part of Interventricular septum
- Membranous septum is divided by the septal leaflet of the tricuspid valve (TV) into AV and interventricular portions
- Apical portion is interventricular while the basal portion is atrioventricular
- Implantation of the tricuspid valve is one centimeter below that of the mitral valve
