Atrial flutter or fibrillation longer than 24 hours
For any patient who is not adequately anticoagulated, presenting with atrial flutter or fibrillation longer than 24 hours, TEE should be performed before chemical or electrical cardioversion
For any patient who is not adequately anticoagulated, presenting with atrial flutter or fibrillation longer than 24 hours
[A] TEE not required routinely for stable patients
[B] TEE should be performed before chemical cardioversion and TEE not required before electrical cardioversion
[C] TEE should be performed before electrical cardioversion and TEE not required before chemical cardioversion
[D] TEE should be performed before chemical or electrical cardioversion
